Who we are
SOLICITOR / DIRECTOR
Davidson Mahon Solicitors was originally set up by Kate Mahon. Kate was originally called to the Bar in 2006 and cross-qualified as a solicitor in 2009. Kate specialises in all aspects of private client work which includes preparing Wills, drawing up Trusts, administering estates, obtaining Grants of Probate, preparing Powers of Attorney, making applications to the Court of Protection and advising farmers and business owners on Inheritance Tax and succession planning. Kate is an Affiliate member of STEP, she is the Vice Chair of the Law Society Private Client Section Advisory Committee.
Kate works with Accountants and Financial Advisers to ensure clients obtain practical advice so they can plan their future with confidence.
For Kate, exceptional client service is everything. Kate believes that it is extremely important in this area of law to understand your client’s needs and background in order to provide appropriate and practical advice and this means spending time with clients to ensure she has a clear understanding of their situation.
Kate wanted to create a firm that enabled her to offer her clients something more than most other firms; more time, flexibility for clients to see her at times to suit them, quality work and affordable fees.
Kate is happy to see clients at home, at work or a place which is convenient for her clients and at times to suit her clients too. Whilst most solicitor’s offices are open 9am to 5pm, this does not suit many clients who have full-time and demanding jobs. Kate fully appreciates this and is more than happy to see clients outside normal working hours and at weekends.
Kate strives to create long-lasting professional relationships with her clients and their families and also her referrers and looks forward to welcoming you to the firm where you can be sure of a warm and friendly welcome.
It’s not all work and no play…
When Kate isn’t working, she loves walking her dogs. Kate has recently started cycling (on dry days!) and also enjoys her art classes.
