Who we are
Sharon joins her good friend Kate at Davidson Mahon solicitors as a Consultant Solicitor after knowing and working with Kate at a previous law firm. Sharon has worked in Kent and the MIdlands for the last 13 years specialises in all aspects of Contentious Probate Disputes including; contesting/defending a Will or Codicil, challenging the validity of a Will or Codicil, lack of capacity claims, issues of undue influence, dealing with difficult executors or feuding beneficiaries, intestate estates, proprietary estoppel, claims for reasonable financial provision under the Inheritance (Provision of Family and Dependants) Act 1975 and disputes over the administration or distribution of the deceased's estate.
Sharon also has wide ranging experience within the sphere of Wills, Trust and Probate work, advising on preparation of Wills, powers of Attorneys, inheritance tax planning, declarations of trust, deeds of variations, grant applications and estate administration.
Sharon is a qualified Civil and Commercial Mediator and is a strong believer and advocate in mediating Contentious Probate Dispute at the earliest opportunity, she encourages parties to settle where possible to avoid costly and emotionally draining court action. Sharon is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS)
